Oupa

Rescue Image

Oupa came to Pug Rescue SA when another shelter in Port Elizabeth, notified us that a pug had been handed into them and needed urgent medical treatment. He had been attacked by a Boerebul and was injured. This photo is not a pretty sight. Oupa will most probably lose his injured eye. He was immediately collected by our pug angels Cliff and Cheryl Reed in PE and rushed to the vet where he received medical attention. We then flew him to Pug Rescue SA, his medical treatment in PE and flight were kindly covered by donations. Within a few hours of landing at OR Thambo airport, Oupa was taken to see Dr Eckersley. He is on many different medications for pain, infection etc. He will only have his eye removed once Dr Eckersley is satisfied he is strong enough. He is in the best hands. As you can imagine, this all costs money, which we constantly need for cases like this. Please consider sponsoring Oupa, and helping us to ensure he always gets the best.
