Pug Rescue South Africa road to recovery features.

Road to recoveryPickle- the-dwarf-Pug

I am a medically diagnosed skeletal dwarf.  I was sold online for R200. Thank goodness a Good Samaritan purchased me and handed me over to Pug Rescue South Africa. I am also a diabetic and I follow a very strict health program, I have my diabetic checks with my specialist medicine vet every quarter.  I think I am 10 years old.  I have been living at Pug Rescue South Africa since March 2013 and I am a permanent resident and a little bit of a mascot.

I was surrendered to Pug Rescue South Africa in May 2020 as my owners were no longer able to care for me.  I was immediately taken to the Animal Eye Hospital as I have reduced sight, sadly there is nothing that can be done.  I do get Tacrolimus drops twice a day.  A few days ago I started walking strangely, immediately I had an appointment set up at Onderstepoort Veterinary Academic Hospital where I had an MRI.  I am now waiting for an appointment for spinal surgery as I have disc compression in my spine.
